Mia works at an animal shelter every Saturday. She is fifteen years old. The shelter is in a small town near the river. It has twenty dogs and thirty cats.
Mia cleans the rooms in the morning. She gives fresh water to all the animals. At ten o'clock she walks the dogs in the park. The dogs are happy when they run.
In the afternoon Mia feeds the cats. She also plays with a small black cat named Luna. Luna is three years old. Mia writes the names of the animals in a book. She talks to people who want a new pet. Last week a family took two dogs home. Mia feels tired but very happy after her work.
